In October of 2019 we launched a new program called the Nicholas DiNoto Family Care Package Program. This program was initiated by a Little Saint Nick Foundation board member Rob DiNoto (pictured in the middle) in honor of the life of Rob's son Nicholas DiNoto, who lost his life as a child a few years ago. The goal of this program is to provide the families of long term child patients care packages of everyday essential items that the families and child patients may need while in the hospital. Some items that can be found in each package are: toothbrush, toothpaste, phone charger, note pad, pen, mints, lanyard for ID badge, etc.
Rob has raised over $50,000 to launch this program that has already helped hundreds of families in need. These packages are packed by our kid volunteers and are dropped off at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, the hospital Nicholas was at, every month. We pack 150 packages per month currently and that number is growing as we expand.
We have received amazing feedback from the families of these patients commenting that “everything is perfect” and “It has all the essentials”.
