Fall Volunteering Event
Saturday, November 16, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
Free
We pack around 600 emergency department gift bags per month for Hospitals on Long Island. The bags include a beanie baby, a coloring book with crayons and a personalized get well card made by one of the volunteers. We also pack around 150 care packages for the families of long term patients at Cohen Children's Medical Center. This program through the Little Saint Nick Foundation and board member Rob DiNoto is in honor of the life of Rob's son Nicholas DiNoto, who lost his life as a child a few years ago. Nicholas fought for his life in Cohen Children's Medical Center, a hospital that the Little Saint Nick Foundation has supported since 2002. The goal of this program is to provide the families of long term patients gift bags of everyday essential items that they need while supporting their child in the hospital. Some of the items that will be in the package are: phone charger, toothbrush, toothpaste, note pad, pen, mints, lanyard for ID badge, etc.
We have monthly volunteer events that take place on Long Island at our office.
Children of all ages are welcome to participate.
