Helping Kids In Crisis
The Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF), a registered 501(c)(3), is dedicated to creating a positive mentality for kids in crisis through the compassionate power of a helping hand. Since 2004, we’ve delivered 144,000+ St. Nick Gift Bags, positively impacting over 2.9 million children and families across North America. Every day, we reach 300+ people predominantly in hospitals but also support outpatient facilities, Ronald McDonald Houses, foster homes, homeless shelters, and other crisis situations—spreading comfort and smiles where it’s needed most.
Anxiety-Reducing Gift Bags
Our signature St. Nick Gift Bags contain simple but powerful items: a stuffed animal, coloring book, crayons, pop-it toy, and a handmade Inspiration Card created by a local volunteer. These bags provide comfort, reduce stress, and bring hope to children during some of their hardest moments. In 2024 alone, volunteers packed 17,000+ bags, positively impacting more than 102,000 people across North America. Each bag touches the lives of about six people: the patient, their siblings and parents, the volunteer, the donor, and the healthcare professional. At just $10 per bag, every contribution has the power to directly brighten a child’s day and spark a ripple of kindness that extends far beyond the hospital room.
Volunteerism in the Community
Through our promise of “Kids Inspiring and Helping Kids™,” the Little Saint Nick Foundation empowers people of all ages to serve others in meaningful, hands-on ways. Youth, families, corporate teams, schools, sports programs, sororities and fraternities, and community groups all come together to pack and personalize St. Nick Gift Bags. Volunteers not only assemble and decorate the bags but also deliver inspiration directly to children who need it most. Since our founding, more than 10,000 volunteers nationwide have joined this mission, with many walking away motivated to keep giving back. Every event fosters empathy, builds leadership, and spreads the spirit of kindness—proving that even small acts of service can create lasting impact.
Scaling Our Impact Together
LSNF currently has chapters across the United States and launched Little Saint Nick Foundation Canada in 2023. With continued support, we can inspire and help even more kids by bringing our programs into new communities. Our model is sustainable, simple, and deeply personal: locals helping locals in crisis. Each chapter creates a two-way impact—brightening the lives of patients and families while empowering volunteers to contribute to something greater.
