Little Saint Nick Foundation Launches First-Ever Chapter in Chicago with Aon

At the beginning of June, the Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF) proudly launched its first-ever chapter in Chicago, marking an exciting milestone in the organization’s mission to bring comfort, joy, and smiles to children in crisis. The inaugural event was made possible through a meaningful partnership with Aon, whose team members came together to donate supplies, pack St. Nick Gift Bags, and deliver them directly to children and families in need.

During the launch, Aon employees packed and donated 300 St. Nick Gift Bags, with 150 bags delivered to pediatric patients at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and 150 to Gilda’s Club, a local hospice and support community. Each gift bag was carefully prepared to help ease the fear and anxiety children face during medical challenges, containing:

  • A cozy stuffed animal

  • A fun pop-it toy

  • A coloring book

  • A pack of crayons

  • A handmade Inspiration Card created by Aon employees

These heartfelt cards, carrying words of encouragement and positivity, reflect the Little Saint Nick Foundation’s belief in the ripple effect of kindness—what LSNF calls a “6-in-1 impact”. Every St. Nick Gift Bag touches not just the patient, but also their families, healthcare workers, the volunteers who create them, the donors who make them possible, and future community members inspired to give back.

“Launching our Chicago chapter alongside Aon has been incredibly meaningful,” said Ray Mohler Jr., Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Little Saint Nick Foundation. “We are honored to work with a company whose team members jumped right in with generosity and compassion, ensuring children at Lurie Children’s Hospital and Gilda’s Club felt comforted and supported. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a lasting partnership in the Chicago community.”

The collaboration represents not only LSNF’s first official presence in the Midwest but also a strong step toward its goal of doubling its yearly impact by 2026. Since its founding in 2004, LSNF has delivered more than 144,000 St. Nick Gift Bags nationwide, reaching over 2.9 million children and families through its programs.

“At Aon, our purpose is to shape decisions for the better—to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world,” said Danielle Mac. “Partnering with the Little Saint Nick Foundation allowed our team members to live that purpose while making a direct difference for children and families here in Chicago.”

As the new Chicago chapter takes root, the Little Saint Nick Foundation is looking forward to continuing its work with Aon and expanding partnerships across the region. Together, they will bring smiles, comfort, and inspiration to even more children facing difficult times.
